While the Buzzard Buster had an exciting and beneficial relationship with the Make a Wish Foundation for many years, proceeds from this year’s Buzzard Butt Buster will again go to Pope’s Place located in Centralia, WA, a local organization that benefits from an unexpected monetary donation.
Pope’s Place exists to provide support for families with the challenges they face in caring for their medically complex child or young adult. The types of support Pope’s Place provides include respite care, long-term or transitional care, and residential care. Their residents are children and young adults who require high acuity medical care and have mild behavioral needs. Pope’s Place includes a team of skilled nurses, physical therapists, and social workers offering individualized, 24-hour care in a home-like setting. The staff is dedicated to providing love, care and support to their residents and their families.
